Hip Hip Crochet Basic Beanie Pattern All Sizes

You can download a PDF of this pattern here . After 6 years, I've decided to make some revisions to this pattern so it has been updated. This is just my basic beanie pattern. The size of hook will be noted in parenthesis beside each hook. You may have to use a smaller or larger hook to obtain the correct size, depending on how tight or loose you crochet. Note: You'll be working in a continuous round without joining at the end of each round.  Materials: Worsted weight yarn Hook size is noted on each size Abbreviations: hdc = half double crochet st = stitch 0-3 Months (H hook) Round 1:  starting with a magic ring, 8 hdc in ring. Pull tail of ring to tighten. (8 hdc) Round 2:  2 hdc in each st around. (16 hdc) Round 3:  *1 hdc in first st, 2 hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. (24 hdc) Round 4:  *1 hdc in each of first 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around. (32 hdc) Round 5:  *1 hdc in each of first 3 sts,
