New Patterns Coming Very Soon!

Be on the look out because either Sunday or Monday I'll be posting several new patterns! I can't post them yet or even give hints because the actual items were created as gifts for my daughter's baby shower this coming Saturday. Ok, so I guess that I just gave a hint - it's baby patterns. And if I haven't mentioned the subject of my first grandchild, it's a boy and he is due in early September. See ya soon with new patterns!

Made Myself Something!

I haven't made myself anything in a while but I recently bought some Bernat Softee Chunky Yarn in grey heather. I've seen a lot of patterns for cowls lately so I decided that this is what I'd use the yarn for. Here is my cowl: This pattern was so easy and I made it in about 45 minutes. If you'd like to give it a try you can find the FREE pattern at Hopeful Honey . <~~~~ link is clickable even though you can't see it. Have fun!

I saw the picture below on Facebook and thought it was very touching so I thought I'd issue all of my fellow crocheters a challenge. Make something warm, like a scarf, hat or gloves/mittens and leave it in a somewhat prominent place in public with a note attached similar to the one in the picture. Knitters and other crafters are invited too! After you do, post a picture to my Facebook page or use the hashtag #hiphipcrochet on Instagram. I'm hoping that you guys will want to participate in this!
