Chevron Earwarmer/Headband

¤ Size H Crochet Hook
¤ Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Caron Simply Soft in Blue Mint)about a 1/4 of a skein

Abbreviations:

Ch 21
Row 1: SC in 2nd ch from hook and in each of the next 3 chs, 3 sc in next ch, sc in each of next 4 chs, sk next 2 chs, sc in each of next 4 chs, 3 sc in next ch, sc to end of ch. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Working in blo, sc dec over first 2 sts, sc in each of next 3 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in each of next 4 sts, sk next 2 sts, sc in each of next 4 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts, sc dec over last 2 sts. Ch 1, turn.
Rows 3-5: Repeat row 2.
Row 6: Working through both loops, sl st in each sc across. Ch 1, turn.
Row 7: Leaving sl st of previous row unworked, sc in blo of the sc of row 5, repeating row 2.
Repeat rows 2-7 until the earwarmer/headband is long enough to fit around your head. Fasten off leaving a tail about 9 inches long. With the yarn needle, sew the short ends together. Weave in ends.
Join yarn at seam and HDC evenly around. Once back around to the seam, join with sl st to first hdc then fasten off. Repeat on other side of headband. Weave in ends.
