Infant Girl Strappy Sandal FREE Crochet Pattern

Materials:

• Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Cherry & White
• 2 Small buttons
• Sewing needle and thread to match buttons
• Yarn Needle

Abbrevations:

• Ch = Chain
• SC = Single Crochet
• HDC = Half Double Crochet
• DC = Double Crochet
• Sl St = Slip Stitch
• St = Stitch

 Sole (make 2)

With red yarn:

Round 1:  Ch 10. SC in second ch from hook and in next 7 chs, 5 sc in last st. Now working on the backside of the ch, sc in the next 7 chs, 2 sc in the last ch. Sl st to the first sc made.

Round 2: Ch 2, hdc in the same st and the next 7 sts, 2 hdc in each of the next 5 sts, hdc in each of the next 7 sts, 2 hdc in each of the last 2 sts. Join with a sl st in the top of the ch 2.

Round 3: Ch 2, hdc in same st and in each of the next 12 sts, 2 hdc in each of the next 3 sts, hdc in each of the next 12 sts, 2 hdc in each of the last 2 sts. Sl st in the top of the ch 2. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Front strap (make 2)

With white yarn:

Ch 10, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off leaving tail long enough to stitch to sole.

Heel strap

With white yarn

Row 1: With the heel facing you, count 8 sts to the left, attach yarn. HDC here and in the next 11 sts. Ch 1, turn.

Row 2: 2 hdc in the first st, hdc across till the end, then 2 hdc in last st. Ch 1, turn.

Row 3: HDC across. Ch 1, turn.

Row 4: Sl st across. Ch 1 then sl st into the side of the st from the row below. Ch 12, DC in the second ch from hook and in the next st, hdc to the end of ch, fasten off and weave in ends.

Repeat rows 1 - 4 for other sandal BUT the strap made in row 4 will need to be made on the opposite side.

Sew buttons to strap.
