Jack o Lantern Bib FREE Crochet Pattern

Materials:


  • 1 ball each of Sugar and Creme yarn in Hot Orange and Country Yellow
  • Size G Crochet Needle
  • Yarn Needle for weaving in ends
Abbreviations:

  • St = Stitch
  • Ch = Chain
  • HDC = Half Double Crochet
  • SC = Single Crochet
Bib
With the Hot Orange yarn

Round 1: Starting with a magic ring, 8 hdc in ring. Pull tail of ring to tighten ring. (8 hdc)

Round 2: 2 hdc in each st around. (16 hdc)

Round 3: * 1 hdc in first st, 2 hdc in next st *. Repeat from * to * around. (24 hdc)

Round 4:  * 1 hdc in each of the first 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st *. Repeat from * to * around. (32 hdc)

Round 5:  * 1 hdc in each of the first 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st *. Repeat from * to * around. (40 hdc)

Round 6:  * 1 hdc in each of the first 4 sts, 2 hdc in next st *. Repeat from * to * around. (48 hdc)

Round 7: * 1 hdc in each of the first 5 st, 2 hdc in next st *. Repeat from * to * around. (56 hdc)

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join Country Yellow yarn with an sc, sc in each of the next 8 sts, ch 31, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch back down, sc again in the st that ch was started in, sc in next 44 sts, ch 31, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch back down, sc again in the st that ch was started in, sc in each of the next 4 sts, sl st to first sc. Fasten off and weave in ends.

With yarn needle and country yellow yarn, stitch Jack's face on.
