Ponytail Beanie Crochet Pattern Toddler - Adult

This beanie offers warmth and you can still wear a ponytail comfortably!

Materials:

• H hook for toddler and child sizes; I hook for preteen size; J hook for adult size

• 1 skein worsted weight yarn

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain

• hdc = half double crochet

• dc = double crochet

• sk = skip

• fpdc = front post double crochet

• st = stitch

• sl st = slip stitch

Special instructions:

V Stitch: (dc, ch 2, dc) in same designated stitch.

Puff stitch: (yarn over, insert hook in st, draw up a loop)4 times in same designated st, yarn over, draw through all 9 loops on hook, ch 1.

Toddler size:

With H hook

Round 1: starting with a magic ring, 8 hdc in ring. Pull tail of ring to tighten ring.

Round 2: 2 hdc in each st around.

Round 3: 2 dc in each st around.

Round 4: *1 hdc in first st, 2 hdc in next st.* repeat from * to * around.

Round 5: hdc in each st around.

Round 6: sk next 2 sts, *V stitch in next st, sk 2 sts, puff st in next st, sk 2 sts.* repeat from * to * around.

Round 7: HDC in the sk space from previous round. *3 hdc in ch 2 space, hdc in ch space of v stitch, hdc in space above puff st, hdc in space between puff st and V st.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 8: ch 10, sk next 7 hdc, hdc in next st and in each st around.

Round 9: 7 hdc in ch space, hdc in each st around.

Round 10: repeat round 6.

Round 11: *puff st in each ch two space of V st from previous round, V st in each space above puff st from previous round.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 12: *V st in each so above puff st, puff st in each ch 2 sp of V st*. Repeat from * to * around.

Round 13: repeat round 7.

Round 14: *fpdc over first st, hdc in next st.* Repeat from * to * around.

Round 15: sl st in each st around. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Child size:

Using H hook
