45 Minute Basket Weave Ear Warmer

Materials:

• Size N hook

• Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn Oatmeal

• Large yarn needle

Abbreviations:

• Ch = chain

• Hdc = half double crochet

• Fpdc = front post double crochet

• Bpdc = back post double crochet

• Sl st = slip stitch

• St = stitch

Ch 49

(Note: this can be made smaller or larger, just make sure that your chain count is a multiple of 6 plus 1)

Row 1: hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in each across. Ch 1, turn. (48 hdc)

Row 2: hdc in first st, * fpdc next 3 sts, bpdc next 3 sts*. Repeat from * to * across to last st. Hdc in last st. Ch 1, turn. (48 sts)

Rows 3-7: repeat row 2. (I realize that normally the rows of a basket weave are alternated but because we're using bulky yarn, it's not necessary to alternate.)

Row 8:  sl st in each st across.

Join the two short ends by sl st-ing them together then fasten off an weave in ends.
