Heart Bookmark Pattern


Materials:
• size 10 crochet thread in red and white (small amounts of each color)
• size 3 steel hook
• yarn needle

Abbreviations:
• tr = treble crochet
• ch = chain
• dc = double crochet
• sc = single crochet
• hdc = half double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch

With red
Round 1: starting with magic ring, ch 2, 3 tr, 4 dc, tr, 4 dc, 3 tr, ch 2. Pull tail of ring to tighten.

Round 2: sc in ch sp of previous round, 2 hdc in next st, 3 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in each of next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st, (hdc, dc, hdc) in next st, 2 hdc in next st, hdc in each of next 3 sts, 2 hdc in next st, 3 hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st, (sc, sl st) in ch so.

Round 3: sc in each of next 2 sts, (sc next st, 2 sc next st) 3 times, sc in each of next 6 sts, 3 hdc next st, sc in each of next 6 sts, (2 sc in next st, sc in next st) 3 times, sc in each of next 2 sts. Join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off, weave in ends.

Round 4: join white thread in middle hdc of 3 hdc at the bottom point. Ch 23, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook, sl st back down ch, sc in next 14 sts, hdc in next st, sc in next 3 sts, sl st in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, hdc in next st, sc in each of the remaining sts. Fasten off, weave in ends.
