Materials:

·         Size 7 16” circular needles and dpns

·         Worsted weight yarn, about 150 yarns. I used I Love This Yarn in Burnt Pumpkin

·         Yarn Needle

Abbreviations:

·         K = Knit

·         K2tog = Knit 2 together

·         P = Purl

Gauge: 6 rows and 6 stitches = 1 inch

Cast on 96

Cuff:

1x2 (knit 1, purl 2) for 2 inches

Body of beanie:

Knit each st around for one round.

*Purl each st around for 1” (6 rounds).

K1, P1 around for 1”.*

Repeat from * to * once more, then repeat the 6 rounds of purls.

Begin decreases as follows:

Switch to dpns when needed.

Round 1: *k 10, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * around.(88 sts)

Round 2: k each st around. (88 sts)

Round 3: * k 9, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * around. (80 sts)

Round 4: k each st around. (80 sts)

Round 5: *k 8, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * around.(72 sts)

Round 6: *k 7, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * around. (64 sts)

Round 7: k each st around. (64 sts)

Round 8: *k 6, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * around. (56 sts)

Round 9: *k 5, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * around. (48 sts)

Round 10: *k 4, k2tog*. Repeat from * to * around. (40 sts)

Round 11: k each st around. (40 sts)

Round 12: *k 3, k2tog*. (32 sts)

Round 13: k each st around.

Bind off knit wise. Weave in ends.
